FAQs
Booking + availability
-
Most couples book us 9–18 months before their wedding date, particularly for popular months like October through April.
We take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every film receives the time and care it deserves, so dates can fill up quickly once enquiries start coming in.
If you already have your venue secured and feel a connection to our films, we always recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later. That said, if your wedding is coming up sooner, feel free to reach out- occasionally we do have availability for last-minute bookings.
-
Yes, we love to travel for weddings and are available for destination weddings within Australia and internationally.
Travel fees may apply depending on the location, but we’re always happy to discuss how we can make it work for you.
-
To secure your wedding date, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding day.
-
Fill out our enquiry form, and we’ll organise a video or phone call. We find this is the best way to see if we’re a good fit for you. After that, once we receive your signed contract and deposit, you’re all booked in.
Packages + pricing
-
Our packages begin at $4,200 AUD, with pricing varying depending on coverage, film length, and any other elements such as additional edits and Super 8 film.
Our couples within Australia typically invest around $5,500 for their wedding film. Our destination couples typically invest $9,000 and upwards. -
Our packages are designed around the type of film you’d like to receive and how much of the day you’d like us to capture.
The key differences being each package is length of the final film and the additional edits included (such as vows or speeches).
Most couples choose a package based on how immersive they’d like their final film to feel- whether that’s a shorter highlight or a longer, more story-driven film.
You’re also welcome to tailor your package with optional add-ons such as more rolls of Super 8 film, additional edits, or longer coverage. -
Yes- we’re always open to tailoring our packages to suit each couples’ needs where possible.
If you’re unsure which elements might suit your day best, feel free to reach out- we’re always happy to talk through the possibilities.
-
For most weddings we film full-day coverage, as this allows us to properly tell the story of the day from beginning to end.
For smaller celebrations, elopements, or intimate weddings, we’re sometimes able to offer shorter coverage options depending on availability and location.
If you’re planning something a little different, feel free to get in touch and tell us about your plans- we’d love to hear more.
-
We have a predominantly documentary, unposed approach to filming. Most of the day is filmed very naturally as it unfolds.
Rather than staging things heavily, we aim to create a film that feels like a memory of the day. Something that reflects the feeling of being there.
We focus as much as we can on people, from big moments to small, and flashes of connection that our couples might miss, which is why we love having two of us there on the day!
During portraits or time for photo/ video, we’ll sometimes give a little gentle direction when needed- simple prompts or movements that help things feel relaxed and natural on camera. Nothing overly staged or performative.
That said, if our couples are interested in exploring more posed or creative ideas with video, we are always open to this and typically use the photo/ video session for more crafted shots.
Our goal is always to help you feel comfortable and present, so the moments we capture feel genuine. -
We typically work as a team of two to ensure we capture every moment from different angles.
This allows us to document both wide shots, close-ups and reactions, and ensures nothing is missed- especially during key moments like vows or speeches.
-
A lot of our inspiration comes from the coming-of-age genre of cinema- films that capture the joy of firsts and that beautiful point in life when everything feels new, electric, and just beginning. Some of our favourites include Frances Ha, Moonrise Kingdom and Call me by your Name.
We’re drawn to storytelling that feels nostalgic and personal.
Each wedding has its own rhythm and energy, and we try to let that guide how the film comes together.
Filming style + approach
Super 8 film
-
Super 8 is a vintage motion picture film format that was widely used in home movies throughout the 1960s and 70s.
Unlike digital video, it’s shot on real film stock, which creates the soft texture, grain, and nostalgic colour you often see in classic family footage.
Because it’s an analogue medium, every frame is physically captured on film, giving it a unique character and warmth that’s impossible to fully recreate digitally. -
Super 8 footage is woven throughout your film alongside the digital footage.
We often use it to highlight quieter, emotional, or atmospheric moments throughout the day- the kinds of moments that feel especially beautiful on film, giving the edits a nostalgic texture.
Because Super 8 is a real film format with limited running time, it is used quite intentionally rather than for continuous stints, allowing those moments to feel special when they appear.
-
Yes- we do occasionally offer Super 8-only coverage for couples who are drawn specifically to the look and feel of film.
If this is something you’re interested in, feel free to get in touch and we can talk through the possibilities.
Editing + delivery
-
You will receive everything from your chosen package within 4 months.
Our teaser trailer is delivered within 4 weeks (as Super 8 film takes ~2-3 weeks to be processed). Social highlights can also be added for an even quicker turnaround using digital footage.
If this timing will differ for any reason, we will communicate this to you as soon as possible.
-
We focus on delivering a final, polished wedding film that tells the story of your day.
While we do not provide raw footage as part of our packages, we offer an optional extra called our ‘Documentary Edit’. We sift through the footage to find the best selects, giving you a start-to-finish, don’t-miss-a-thing recount of the entire day.
As the name suggests, it feels like watching a documentary about your wedding.
-
Yes- each package includes one round of revisions once you’ve received your film.
We take great care in getting the storytelling style right for each couple, and we want to make sure you connect with it!
Guidance on how to give feedback is provided to you once the film is delivered.
Any additional revisions beyond this can be arranged if required.
